She has been a fantastic weekender with plenty of nostalgia. The sunroof is from Factory and not aftermarket and is fully working. So is all electrics, power windows ect. | Amazing color combination garners attention wherever it goes. This left hand drive 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230SL automatic was shipped to AU by the current owner (third owner) 4 years ago. Purchased in 2015 from the second owner who had purchased in 1972. Car was a club car and stored later in its life. Top was replaced back to original light grey canvas and car was resprayed back to its original Mercedes data card specs. Top end rebuild and new injectors by MB Star in AU so it runs strong. Rebuilt alternator, radio and clock. Installed sport springs by John Olsen which are linear rate like the OEM but are more firm for better cornering and less nose dive in hard braking and lower ride by 12mm. (still have originals as well if you like the feel.) Includes rare dealer installed air con which was refreshed by MB Star and the rarer kinder seat behind the passenger seat. Carpets and seats all redone in 2017. Extensive documentation and receipts from both the prior ownership and current owner as well. Includes rack for top when off the car. Miles are thought to be original based on prior owner statements and documentation. | |
