2016 June Coffee Run to Mean Machines

A new addition to the Perth motoring scene is Mean Machines, located in Morley. Our club took the opportunity to make use of the facilities for our June coffee run.

Meeting at the usual place of our clubrooms in Como, approximately 25 members cruised in convoy across the inner-eastern suburbs of Perth, to the somewhat industrial location of Mean Machines. Waiting for us was a fantastic café and restaurant, where the vast majority of our members devoured a coffee or two, while perusing the amazing array of motoring memorabilia and Mean Machines merchandise available.

Once we had taken it all in, our tour guide for the evening, Keith, took us across the road for an exclusive look at their showroom of classic cars. Part of the Mean Machines business is restoring and selling classic cars, in addition to providing a retail space for vehicles on consignment. A rare South-African assembled R107 450SL flew the Mercedes-Benz flag, which stood amongst such classics as Model A Fords, Porsche 928s, Borgward Isabellas, Triumph TR4s and Rolls Royce Silver Shadows, to name but a few.

It was great to see such an enthusiast driven place pop up in Perth and we’ll certainly be back!
